never imagined we’d cover so much ground in a matter of 7 hours. Our tour guid, Mindy C, was phenomenal. She was very insightful and knowledgeable on all things New York. She thoroughly answered our questions and just went above and beyond with the NYC intel. My 16 year olds were seeing this city for the first time- I was praying that they would get a lot out of it. This tour exceeded my expectations! To see them amazed and now wanting to “live” here (lol) makes my heart happy. Mindy was the best! You’ll be very lucky to pair with her. Thank you, Mindy, for all you did!!!
Rob and Gary know New York so well it was non-stop information that was interesting and fun. There was enough time to see everything in the 7 hours of tour. Thought it would be a challenge walking the 5 to 7 miles for a 75 year old couple but we made it. They both made sure all ten in the group stayed together and got the full experience of New York. Rob is a retired history teacher so he was comfortable presenting the information. Gary is a life-long New Yorker full of stories. Well worth the money.
Great tour with Jenn Andres who was friendly and knowledgeable throughout. Although it’s a full day it’s well paced with stops for restrooms and an hour for lunch. Great way to see all the “must see” places in NYC. Worth every penny!
What a great day! Our tour guide Billy (who was awesome!) met us in a clearly designated spot at Times Square where he gave us the low-down on what we were about to see and do. We had explored Manhattan the day before, walking about 8 miles on our own, so we were generally prepared for what was in store for us while others in our group weren't so much (other members seemed to be completely drained of energy near the end, but we were excited for more). Right away however, we learned that we wouldn't have to stress about directions or where we were going, and we could see the city with someone who knew a TON about it. We knew we'd be doing a LOT of walking. In total, it was just around 5 miles, but there was an hour lunch break, and a rest on the Staten Island ferry. Billy walked slowly enough as to not leave anyone behind. We knew that the restrooms were scarce in Manhattan, so when our guide said we were taking a pit-stop, we knew we should take full advantage (Billy also told the group this when we first met). He also gave us a huge heads up whenever we were about to go into a crowded area or onto the subway. He kept every member of the tour safe and as a group. Our group was small, about 12 people or so. This included a 2 families with younger teen children and a few other couples. The small group made it possible to ask Billy some very specific questions if we wanted. Since he lives in Manhattan and has given many other tours, he knew many things about the area that I definitely wouldn't know to Google myself. He even helped me prepare for our next day of using the subway system on our own. If you are interested in learning as much as you can while you're in NYC, this would be the tour for you. We saw some sights the day before that he gave us detailed facts and history about, he pointed out new things we would've walked right by had he not been with us, and he introduced us to some sights that we wanted to come back to the next day. Wear good shoes, take lots of pictures, ask the pro New Yorker lots of questions, and have a great time!
My favorite part was learning the interesting facts that our tour guide Lyndsey Simmons provided for the group. Lyndsey was warm, friendly, and engaging. She kept us on our heels with a whirlwind of information. Lyndsey definitely made my trip to NY city memorable!
This is an excellent tour. I've been to NYC several times but I learned many things on this tour that I did not know. Lyndsey Simmons is an excellent tour guide who is extremely knowledgeable about all things NY. We thoroughly enjoyed our time walking the city with her and learning the details about the famous landmarks. If you book this tour, ask for Lyndsey Simmons!
