Itinerary

Cruise the scenic Waikoloa and Kohala coastline on a 54 foot catamaran. Depart from A-Bay, convenient to Waikoloa resorts, and head along the rugged and scenic shore of Kohala, viewing lava walls, rocky points, patches of sandy beaches, and gulches rising to the Kohala ridge -- the oldest part of Hawaii Island. Pods of dolphins can be spotted along this shore and whales in whale season. It is a serene and unspoiled scene with very little boat traffic, making for an extraordinary experience. Snorkeling is among some of the best on the island, and ours is often the only boat at the sight. One of the newer catamarans on the Waikoloa coast and delivers a terrific, safe and thrilling ride. Buy or bring your snorkel and mask, or sanitized re-usable sets are available as a backup. Fins and snorkel vests are provided and in-water assistance from expert crew are included. Picnic lunch, soda, juice & water served. Enjoy the coastal sights and a refreshing swim and snorkel.

The crew was fantastic! We couldn’t snorkel because of the wind but saw so many whales it didn’t matter

We had an awesome time out on the boat and snorkeling. We also were lucky to see some humpback whales and dolphins. The crew was great, attentive and fun. Definitely recommend!

Captain Ash and crew were great! We felt very safe as some staff were in the water with us and another was on a surf board near the rough surf to make sure we did not venutre too far from the boat. We saw lots of fish. Boat is clean and there was plenty of room to spead out. Alcoholic drinks served after the snorkling were included. We saw whales on the way back and the Captain stopped so we could all see. Trip doubled as a whale watching excursion! People - Remember to bring cash to tip the crew. I would give this trip 5 stars but took off one star because I think Hawaii Nautical could step it up regarding reef-safe sunscreen. People were spraying and rubbing on the toxic brands minutes before jumping in the water. That just washes off immediately. While Hawaii Nautical did provide sunscreen, the captain and staff could have talked about the importance of using reef safe sunscreen and protecting the fish, coral and turtles to a very captive audience. I will get off the soap box but do ask people to try to protect our oceans so we can all continue to enjoy amazing trips/experiences like this.

We had a great time. Snorkeling was good. Not a ton of sea life but water was clear. Saw a ton of dolphins and two whales. Crew was fun and helpful.

We went for the sail experience but we got way more than that. We did NOT go hang out with any other boat. We went north instead and our captain spotted whales and we watched for as long as it took to get that complete experience. Then we stopped over some beautiful coral and snorkeled while our guides brought sea life from beneath up to us to see and sometimes feel. The wind picked up on the way back and our captain unfurled the sail and shut down the motors for some real sail time while we lay on the net. Could not have been better in any way and no tip for this crew was too big!

A wonderful experience! I highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting the Big Island! We snorkeled on a beautiful reef and even saw whales breaching in the distance!

Do not recommend if you’re expecting to see or swim with dolphins or sea turtles. Miss leading by the photos on the listing

The crew were warm and friendly They took us to a great spot where we saw a lot of beautiful fish and my son thought he saw an octopus in the rocks down under the sea
